The short version. We collect the minimum a dating app can work with: your email, your first name, your date of birth, your gender and who you're looking for, an approximate location, a 15-second voice recording, and your photos. Your messages live on your phone — our copy is deleted after 90 days. We do not sell your data. We show ads, and you can turn off personalised ads in the app. You can delete everything, permanently, at any time.
1. Who we are
GetYourQueen is operated by SMARTNESS HOME, a French société par actions simplifiée with share capital of €8,000, registered office at 5 rue Agrippa d'Aubigné, 91090 Lisses, France, registered with the Evry Commercial Court under number 829 550 185 (VAT FR40829550185). We are the controller of your personal information.

The app is offered in the United States only. Because our company is established in France, the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing in addition to United States federal and state law. Where the two differ, we apply the stricter rule.
2. What we collect, and why

What we deliberately do not collect
- We do not log which profiles you viewed. That list is kept on your phone and never sent to us. It is the single largest dataset a dating app usually keeps, and we decided not to have it.
- We do not collect your last name, your phone number, your contacts, your precise GPS trail, or your photo metadata (EXIF is stripped, including the GPS coordinates of where a photo was taken).
- We do not ask for, and cannot see, anything about your sexual orientation beyond the genders you tell us you're looking for.
3. Your voice: what we do and do not do with it
We store your recording and we transcribe it into text. The transcript is used to caption your card and to check the content against our Community Guidelines.
We do not create a voiceprint. We do not run speaker identification, voice biometrics, speaker diarisation, or any process that produces a mathematical representation of your voice capable of identifying you. We do not use your recording to train voice models. The same applies to your photos: we do not perform facial recognition or extract face geometry.
This is a deliberate design decision, and it is why we do not currently offer selfie verification.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract — creating your account, building your deck, delivering your messages.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service safe, preventing fraud and abuse, moderating content, and basic aggregate statistics.
- Consent — location access, microphone access, photo access, and personalised advertising. You can withdraw any of these at any time in your device settings or in the app.
- Legal obligation — responding to lawful requests and keeping the records we are required to keep.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers we need to run the service:
- Supabase (database, authentication, real-time messaging) — hosted in the United States.
- Cloudflare (media storage and delivery for voice and photos).
- Google AdMob (advertising) — see Google's policy.
- Resend (sending sign-in codes and safety emails).
- Deepgram (speech-to-text for captions and moderation).
That is the complete list. We do not use social media advertising pixels, and we do not share anything with Meta, TikTok or any similar platform.
We will also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to prevent imminent harm to someone.
6. Advertising
GetYourQueen is free and paid for by advertising. You will see a full-screen ad roughly every fifteen cards, an ad when you open the app, and optional ads you choose to watch in exchange for an extra Super Like or to reveal someone who liked you. There are no banner ads, and an ad never interrupts someone's voice.
Advertising uses your device's advertising identifier and coarse device data. To turn off personalised advertising, use Settings → Do not sell or share my personal information in the app, or Settings → Ad privacy choices. You will see the same number of ads; they simply won't be tailored to you. On iOS you can also decline tracking when the system prompt appears.
7. Your rights
Everyone
You can access, correct, download or delete your information at any time. Deletion is one tap in Settings → Delete my account, or from getyourqueen.com/delete-account without installing the app.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. Your precise geolocation is treated as sensitive personal information; we use it only to build your deck and never to infer anything about you. Use this page or the in-app toggle to opt out.
If you are in another U.S. state with a privacy law
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota, Rhode Island, Kentucky, Indiana and other states with comparable laws have equivalent rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, and opt out of targeted advertising. Use the same routes above, or email privacy@getyourqueen.com. You may appeal a refusal by replying to our decision; we will respond within 45 days.
If you are in the EU or UK
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in France, the CNIL.
8. Children
GetYourQueen is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Our servers reject any date of birth under 18, and reports of an underage user are escalated ahead of everything else in the moderation queue. If you believe a minor is using the app, report the profile in the app or email support@getyourqueen.com — we act immediately.
9. Security
Sign-in tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain. All traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to our database is restricted at the row and column level, so our own application cannot read another user's profile in bulk, and users cannot alter fields such as their age or their moderation status. Photos are held in private storage and served only through short-lived signed links, to people you have matched with.
No system is perfectly secure. If we suffer a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
10. International transfers
We are established in France and our infrastructure is in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
11. Changes
If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
